The Association of American Geographers (AAG),
located in Washington, D.C., is a scientific and educational society founded
in 1904. Its 8,400+ members share interests in the theory, methods, and practice
of geography and geographic education.
Anthropology
The American Anthropological Association
(AAA), located in Arlington, Virginia, has been the primary professional
society of anthropologists in the United States since its founding in 1902.
In addition, it is the world's largest professional organization of individuals
interested in anthropology.
